A post from our Marketing leader, Denise….

Did you know Sunday, August 7th is National Friendship Day? Neither did I!
But what a great time to reflect on treasured friendships and memories.
I once read somewhere that friends are our chosen family.  That is so true….I have a handful of close friends that have been through thick and thin with me! Do you have a favorite “friend” memory?  Here’s one of mine….

For my 40th Birthday (we won’t talk about how long ago that was), my friends surprised me with a night out….not just dinner and wine but they all participated in a belly dancing lesson. It was so much fun! One of those things on my bucket list that I had never done!

Please take a few minutes to share one of your favorite “friend” stories  – and be sure to send it along to your friend! I’m sure they’ll be thrilled to know they’re appreciated.

  1. My best friend of 15 years has been there through thick and thin. During my last pregnancy, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and she listened to my constant complaining about my dietary restrictions. After I had the baby, she surprised me with a delicious and hard earned sampler of Cheryl’s Buttercream “It’s a Girl” cookies! It was such a great treat to celebrate my daughter, AND the ability to have delicious buttercream again!

I’ve known my oldest friend since 1963. Although we seldom see each other, because we live in different states, we are so comfortable together–it’s like we can pick up where we left off. She is a dear, sweet, person who has been suffering ill health for quite some time now. I went to see her two weeks ago and she’s been on my mind since then. I wish your wonderful cookies could make her better. Thank you for recognizing the gift of friendship. I am blessed.
